Studio

Approach
For us, designing public spaces is much more than just finding functional solutions. Analysing places and their context generates complex questions about their character and potential. In our designs, we endeavour to find specific answers to these questions. Precise interventions create characteristic and versatile open spaces. The focus is on designing public spaces for everyone that are scaled to people and adapted to the climate.

Working together and making decisions together: the studio as a meeting place, workshop and kitchen - with collectively prepared menus, personal recipes, ingredients and utensils. The weekly cooking serves as a starting point for reflecting on our current and past work. Our everyday life in Berlin and Hamburg is accompanied by drawings, variations and work results on the walls, shelves with found objects, models and materials. We work in teams - in the shop, in the studio in the backyard or on the first ICE train to the west in the early morning. Our projects and competitions are spread across Germany and a little beyond - always focussing on the quality of public space - in all its facets: green, rough, collective...
