Market Square Bad Lippspringe

The market square was redesigned to accompany the 2017 State Garden Show. The integration of the Jordan River, which rises directly in the neighbourhood, represented one of the great potentials for the town. The square was brought closer to the banks of the river via a gently sloping topography.Loosely spaced willows provide attractive shade for people spending time on the riverbank. The upper level of the square is enlivened by three water features at the same level and can be used flexibly for events and festivities.A row of elm trees flanking the square strengthens the connection to Arminius Park to the north.A nuanced concrete block paving in a non-directional pattern forms the uniform surface for the square. The market square was completed in November 2015. Since 2024, we have been planning individual measures on behalf of the town of Bad Lippspringe to adapt the market square to the climate and expand its range of uses. Completion is planned for spring 2025.
