The Weser promenade and the open spaces along the banks of the Weser were redesigned as part of the Höxter 2023 Garden Show. Höxter's old town will be generously brought closer to the Weser: a promenade connecting the four city entrances and spacious seating steps will become meeting places for citizens and visitors to the city. The continuing green spaces, designed from the existing area, offer new walking paths beyond the promenade as well as a variety of places to rest and play. The Weserscholle is a new public open space with a unique view over the Weser valley - from the silhouette of Höxter's old town to the Solling. The 2.7 km long promenade connects the ramparts and the old town of Höxter with the Archaeology park Corvey and the Remtergarten at Schloss Corvey.
